damned for days

not a lot has happened lately. a whole lot of drama and bugger all work. today i have to stand up and talk about my hero for an infinite amount of time so im glad my hero is my mum because i could talk for hours about her. ive been so tired lately that my school work and attitude at school have been lacking. hope next week it gets better.

dancing and prancing all over the place

so the posters are finally up for formal!!!! today we start selling the tickets and begin making deposits =) im so excited. we get to start planning out how much our decorations will cost and sorting that all out. hopefully i find out next week how much the head of our department at tafe has given us for our projects so our team can start ordering stuff. nothing new to update about the mural.... we sent off our proposal ages ago and havent heard anything back =/

finally!

so this week we finally settled on the venue for formal =) its so fancy, i felt under dressed using the venues bathroom! im so excited to start getting this formal on the road and put posters up =) the posters look amazing and so do the tickets. this experience is so great. so much hard work though =)

just another day in the ghetto

this week has been flat out with plans for the formal and the mural. we had to find a new venue for the formal so we looked at some and one was really really nice and they gave us a good deal on a food and soft drink package so i really like the place. heres hoping the rest of the committee does too. we finally finished the business proposal for the mural so the next step is to wait for the grant and then buy the paints and get started =) oh and sort out the layout. well, thats pretty much my week..... catch you on the flip side!

formal stuff and mural business

this past week ive been busy! sorting out mural stuff as well as getting my health sorted and planning a formal! we got heaps done on the formal stuff and we are almost finished the planning for the mural! all in all its been a busy week. I ALSO HAVE A NEW CAR!!!! my stepdad bought me a '94 toyota camry and i named him gary =) cant wait to sit in my car when i go to my mums! plus my stepdad is going to help me get my hours up so should be fun!

lazy days and vanilla yoghurt

so this week has been full on! had a massive migraine wednesday so i had to go home but thursday i worked on the mural with my best friend. the sun was out and it was so warm so we just sat out in the sun.we got a bit done on the mural but the sun was just so good. i have a habit of eating tubs of vanilla yoghurt while im in class on thursdays because i can. my best friends mum brought in heaps of chocolate milk for the whole class and it was all gone within an hour haha. monday, i worked on the formal with my little committee and got a lot of stuff done but there is still so much more to do.

work hard, play hard

thursday last week, we worked on the theory part of the mural. the brief is half finished. on monday we had a pizza and milkshake day. we had to make about 12 pizzas and over 30 milkshakes and raised over $100 for our end of year camp. this week im going to aim to finish off the rest of the brief for the mural and get started on the business proposal for the funding for the mural.

holidays and hospital visits

well its been a big month so far! i went up to my mums for easter and i got heaps of stuff. i came back and stayed at my best friends house and on the first day back at school i ended up in hospital. i suffered a complex migraine. the right side of my body went numb! including my teeth! i now have to get an MRI. on the last day of school, i managed to talk to the person in charge of our department and he said that he would give us money for our mural so i have to write up a business proposal and submit it to him =) im also in charge of the formal committee now and we are making great headway on that. wow! im the leader of a lot of things lately!

so much to do and so little time to do it

this week has been hectic! on the 17th i turned 20! so far myself and my small group of awesome people have discussed the mural and planned out most of it.... all thats left is the small details and drawing it up and getting it ready to be presented. we decided to try and get the paint donated by local paint places as well as try the buy swap and sell pages on facebook.
we have also made lots of plans for future fundraisers to raise money for our end of year camp. a big fundraising plan is a formal..... so excited! we are going to try and include the whole campus and maybe even invite other campuses to come join in.
the end of term is just a few days away and im so excited to go and see my mum and to go running around the creek in warracknabeal. it would be so beautiful this time of year. i miss my mum and stepdad so much and im excited to hang out with my little brother and to see my little nephew. im also thinking of getting a tattoo while im up there. a foot tattoo! ouch!
i had a bit of a bad day yesterday.... being bullied in class is never appealing but i think i handled it well. i grabbed my stuff and walked out then came back when i had calmed down and i sat down and talked to the teacher. i think she will handle it from here. but apart from that ive been ecstatically happy. not only is my schooling going good but so is my home life.

past few weeks

i feel bad because i havent been doing my blog as often as i should so im gonna do a run down of whats gone down the past few weeks.

first i was sick so i missed a few days but everyone else painted the letters for the #getsunflowered sign..... i stayed home and watched supernatural and tried not to die.
jamie, chantelle and i painted the fence at the vri hall, helped clear the putty off the window sills and went around traralgon handing out sunflowers to people.

jamie and i also went around and sold chocolate bars, raising $100 in 2 hours =)

well that about sums it up

Dem Tuesday Feels

Yesterday we started off in the computer room researching things on sleep and dehydration on the brain. we then went on to do Khan Academy mathematics..... I felt like a child because I was asked to put '5 bananas in a box'...... im used to pythagoras' theorum and stuff like that so I felt like my intelligence was being insulted but I understand you gotta start from the bottom for some things.
We then went out for lunch and after lunch we went to the VRI hall to work on things. Half of us cooked and the other half did other stuff around the hall. our cooking teacher is named Paul and hes from Ireland. He and I established the fact that im a chatterbox that loves to swear and we had a laugh about it. We cooked scones and they were pretty awesome. Yesterday was a pretty okay kind of day.

INGREDIENTS

450g Self Raising Flour
1 tsp sugar
1 pinch salt
50g butter
310ml milk

METHOD

1. Sift flour, sugar and salt in a bowl.
2. Rub butter into flour
3. Make a well in the flour.
4. Pour milk into flour.
5. Mix together and turn dough onto a lightly floured table.
6. Roll out slightly and cut with cutter.
7. Cook at 230 degrees celsius for 10-12 minutes.
